Finding Zen Elements Retreat

Welcome to our Finding Zen Elements: Surf and Yoga Fusion Retreat a transformative and immersive experience set in the beautiful and lush beaches of Caparica, Portugal.

 

This retreat is designed to connect you with the natural world through a range of activities and practices.

 

Each day of the retreat is dedicated to exploring your zen with daily silent guided walks on the beach, daily yoga classes, and meditation and pranayama workshops that build upon each other throughout the week and riding the waves with surf lessons. These workshops are designed to deepen your connection to the natural world and create a more intense and meaningful experience during your silent walks. We will also dive in workshops on elements.

 

Our daily food menus are carefully crafted, with vegan and vegetarian options available to nourish your body and support your spiritual journey. Throughout the retreat, you will witness stunning sunsets over the breathtaking horizon of the beach, and have the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals who share your desire for personal growth and transformation.

Travel Program

Finding Zen: Surf and Yoga Fusion Retreat

DAY 1   FIRE

On the first day of the retreat, you will be warmly welcomed to your accommodation where you can settle in and relax before the program begins. Our experienced yoga and surf instructors will gather everyone for an introduction and orientation, giving you the chance to meet your fellow retreat participants. To start the day, we will have an invigorating morning yoga session that will focus on building internal heat and power. Following the yoga practice, you will experience a peaceful and contemplative silent guided walk on the beach, where you can connect with nature, ocean and cultivate your inner zen.

In the afternoon, participate in a transformative workshop on Fire Elements, followed up by an afternoon session of pranayama and guided meditation to deepen your spiritual practice. During this session, we will focus on breath and the elements and their impact on our mind, body, and spirit and create an awakening of fire within u

 

In the evening, gather around for a group discussion and to share stories and experiences. We will embrace and reflect on the day's activities. For lunch and dinner, you will enjoy a nutritious meal. After dinner, we will have a fire ceremony where we will set our intentions and release anything that no longer serves us.

DAY 2   WATER

We will start your morning with a gentle yoga practice that emphasizes fluidity and movement, allowing you to flow with ease throughout the day. After a nourishing breakfast, we will embark on a silent guided walk by the beac immersing ourselves in the calming and cleansing properties of water. Return from the walk to attend a Water element workshop, where we will explore the qualities of fluidity, flow, and adaptability. After lunch, take some free time to relax and rejuvenate before an evening Yin Yoga practice and guided meditation, focusing on the water element's nourishing and calming qualities. Indulge in a delicious dinner featuring locally sourced, seasonal ingredients that reflect the element of water, making for a truly immersive culinary experience. All meals throughout the day will include water elements, ensuring that you feel connected to the flow and rhythm of the retreat.

DAY 3   EARTH

Begin the day with a grounding yoga practice that emphasizes stability and balance. Following breakfast, embark on a silent guided walk on the beach to connect with the element of earth. After the walk, participate in an Earth element workshop, where you'll explore the qualities of stability, grounding, and resilience. After lunch, enjoy some free time to relax or take a surf lesson or explore the local area. In the evening, attend a Restorative Yoga class followed by a guided meditation focused on connecting with the earth element. Dinner will feature locally sourced ingredients that reflect the element of earth.

DAY 4   AIR

On day four, we will focus on the air element and the power of breath. Our morning yoga practice will be centered around breathing exercises and poses that open the chest and lungs.  There will be an emphasis on the connection between breath and movement. After breakfast, we will embark on a silent guided walk on the beach, connecting with the air element as we observe the movement of the waves and the breeze around us. In the afternoon, we will gather for a workshop on pranayama, exploring different breathing techniques that can help us cultivate a deeper sense of peace and relaxation.  Dinner will feature locally sourced ingredients that reflect the element of air.

DAY 5   ETHER

Our fifth day will be all about the ether element and the connection between the physical and spiritual worlds. Our morning yoga practice will be a gentle flow that connects us with both the earth and sky. Following breakfast, embark on a silent guided walk on the beach to connect with the element of ether. After the walk, attend an Ether element workshop exploring the qualities of spaciousness, openness, and connection.  Lunch will feature locally sourced ingredients that reflect the element of ether. In the afternoon, we will gather for a closing ceremony, using fire as a symbol of transformation and growth, and reflecting on our journey through the five elements.

DAY 6 EMBRACING HARMONY

On the sixth day of our retreat, we delve deeper into finding Zen, uniting the power of surfing, yoga, and transformative workshops. Riding the waves in the morning, we connect with the cleansing energy of water, surrendering to life's rhythms. Grounding ourselves in a yoga practice, we embrace stability and gratitude rooted in the earth element. Engaging in workshops throughout the day, we ignite our creative fire, explore the freedom of breath, and expand our awareness of subtle realms. Day 6 cultivates harmony and flow within, honoring the interconnectedness of elements we were exposed to.

DAY 7 INTEGRATION & REFLECTION

On the final day of our retreat, we embrace a journey of integration and reflection. Through gentle yoga, we find balance and serenity, merging the elements within. Our closing ceremony creates a space for sharing insights and deepening connections. Guided meditation allows us to visualize carrying Zen into our lives. We set intentions, affirmations, and actionable steps for continued growth. As the sun sets, we gather in gratitude, celebrating the bonds formed. Day 7 marks the culmination of our retreat, leaving us with a profound sense of wholeness. We carry the wisdom, practices, and memories, ready to navigate life with grace and presence.
